⬜ Discounts in AurPOS

AurPOS offers a flexible system for managing sales discounts based on brand, product category, location, or even customer groups. Using the “Discounts” feature, you can create targeted promotional offers to boost sales and encourage repeat purchases.

✅ What is a Discount in AurPOS?

A discount is an automatic deduction applied to products during the sales process, based on predefined conditions such as:

• Brand

• Product Category

• Location

• Selling Price Groups

• Customer Groups

Discounts can be either a fixed amount or a percentage of the product price.

✅ How to Add a New Discount

To add a discount in the system:

➤ Go to: Settings → Discounts
➤ Click on “Add”
➤ Enter the following information:

• Name: Choose a clear and descriptive name (e.g., Eid Offer, Cleaning Products Discount).

• Brand: Select a brand if the discount applies to specific branded items.

• Category: Choose a product category (e.g., Juices, Electronics).

• Location: Select the sales location where the discount will be applied.

• Priority: Set a number to define the priority (lower numbers have higher priority).

• Discount Type:

  • Fixed: A specific amount is deducted.

  • Percentage: A percentage of the price is discounted.

• Start At: Date when the discount becomes active.

• End At: Date when the discount ends.

• Apply to Selling Price Groups: Enable this option if using group pricing.

• Apply to Customer Groups: Enable this option to apply the discount to specific customer groups.

• Active: Make sure the discount is activated.

➤ Click “Save”

✔ The discount will be automatically applied to any qualifying sales.

✨ Important Note:

You can apply a discount at any stage of the sales process:

➤ While creating an invoice:
You can directly set a discount percentage or amount when entering invoice details.

➤ After the invoice has been issued:

• Go to Sales → All Sales

• Search for the invoice

• Click on Actions → Edit

• Add the desired discount, then click Save

✔ This gives you full control to modify discounts even after issuing the invoice.

✅ Activating/Deactivating Discounts

You can easily activate or deactivate any discount:

➤ From the Discounts list, use the toggle switch next to each discount to turn it on or off as needed.

✨ Key Notes:

• If multiple discounts match the same conditions, only the one with the highest priority will be applied.

• Multiple automatic discounts cannot be applied to the same product in the same transaction.

• The system displays the applied discount automatically on the invoice or sales screen.

Use AurPOS discount features to create seasonal promotions or reward loyal customers — and track their effectiveness using sales reports to measure campaign performance.
