Opening Stock Management in Aurpos

1. How to Add Opening Stock

Opening stock refers to the quantity of products available before starting to use Aurpos.

Steps:
1️⃣ Go to Products → List Products
2️⃣ Click on Actions → Add or Edit Opening Stock
3️⃣ Enter the stock quantity for each product

2. Editing Opening Stock or Setting It to Zero

If you've previously added opening stock and need to update or reset it:

Steps:
1️⃣ Click on the ‘+’ symbol next to the product
2️⃣ A new entry row will appear
3️⃣ Enter the stock adjustment (positive or negative)

Example:

• Current stock = 10
• To reset stock to 0 → Enter -10
• To reduce stock to 15 → Enter 5

3. Viewing Product Stock History

You can track changes in stock, including opening stock entries.

Steps:
1️⃣ Go to Products → Product List
2️⃣ Click Actions → Product Stock History to view all stock changes

4. Stock Report

The stock report helps you keep track of:

·         Available quantity of each product

·         Total quantity sold

5. Stock Value Based on Purchase and Selling Prices

The stock report also shows:

• Stock value based on purchase price
• Stock value based on selling price

6. Product Stock History by Date

You can also view the history of stock movement for a specific product by date.

Steps:

• Use the "Product Stock History" link directly from the stock report

Tip: Combining stock reports with opening stock helps you keep inventory accurate and well-tracked.
