The Lot Numbers feature in AurPOS offers an effective tool for accurately tracking product lots—especially for sensitive items such as food, medicine, and electronics. These numbers are used to log expiration dates and clearly trace the source of each lot within the system.
1️⃣ Enabling Lot Number
Steps:
Go to Settings → Business Settings → Purchases
Enable the option “Enable Lot Number”
Click "Update Settings" to save the changes
Once enabled, a new field for lot numbers will appear in purchase and stock-related screens.
2️⃣ Adding a Lot Number During Purchases
When entering a purchase invoice, you’ll be able to record a lot number for each product.
Steps:
Go to Purchases → Add Purchase Invoice
In each product row, a dedicated Lot Number field will be available
You may also enter the expiration date, if applicable
3️⃣ Adding a Lot Number in Opening Stock
If the lot number feature is enabled:
✅ A Lot Number field will appear automatically when adding opening stock
✅ You can log each lot individually with its related details
4️⃣ Displaying Lot Numbers on Invoices and Sales
You can display lot numbers on printed invoices for added transparency.
Steps:
Ensure the lot number feature is enabled
Go to Invoice Layout Settings
Enable the option “Show Lot Number”
✅ When selling a product linked to a lot number, you can select the appropriate lot and expiration date, which will appear automatically on the printed invoice.
